I’m a huge fan of playing up the eyes. The eyes are the first thing people notice when they look at your face, first things to stand out, so I always love to make them pop.
I’m an even bigger fan of sultry, smokey eyes. Summer, spring, fall, winter, I don’t care. I rock a smokey eye and nude lip. Of course if it’s 100 degrees out (like it is right now here in Texas) I leave my smokey sultry eyes for night time gatherings. No one likes a melting face. This look is for a concert held in the evening. Usually evening looks lean towards darker tones, but if you are heading to a day time event, I suggest brightening up your colors for this look with purples, blues, greens or yellows!
1.) I start by spraying Mac Fix + all over my face to prep and prime my skin for foundation.
2.) I use The Porefessional PRO Balm on my inner cheeks and nose to minimize the appearance of my pores. Cause those suckers look like craters, I ain’t even gonna lie.
5.) I set my under eyes and face with my Ben Nye Banana Powder.
7.) I apply Milani Baked Blush in Dolce Pink using a fluffy blush brush.
8.) I add highlighter to my cheek bones. I used Dirty Little Secrets Baked Highlighter in Bellissima.
1.) I mixed Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in Pure Hollywood and Colour Pop Ultra Matte Lip in Cheap Thrills. I added dots of each and mixed with my finger so it wouldn’t cake up. Works very well for me!
1.) I first prep my eyes by adding my concealer onto my eyes (product on Face #4), blending it then, setting with powder (face #5).
2.) I start with a transition color on the crease. I used a light brown/orange shade called Hazelnut in my Too Faced Chocolate Bar.
3.) Next, I applied eyeshadow all over my lids. I used Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Lounge. This color is amazingly beautiful. It is a mix of red and green! Depending on the angle!
4.) To intensify the color, I wet my eyeshadow brush with Mac Fix + (but water will do just fine!) and applied the shadow over the dry shadow I just applied. (Tip: apply by patting with shadow instead of a brushing motion to avoid a patchy look.)
5.) Now I worked on the lower lash line. I applied the transition color with a smudge eye brush then the urban decay eyeshadow after that (wet). Then I smudged both colors that were applied with my finger to smoke it out.
6.) Next. I applied a blue shadow on my lower lash line only ( you can apply this to the lid if you want more color) using a damp brush. I used Shea Moisture Dry/Wet eyeshadow in Deysi. I found this product at Target! Super nice and pigmented and inexpensive!!!!
7.) I wanted a darker look so I applied black shadow under the eyes as well as on the corners of my eyes. I used a blending brush so there wouldn’t be any harsh lines (smokey smokey smokey!)
8.) I applied black eyeliner on the water lines of my eyes (top and bottom). I used Vasanti Kajal Waterline Eyeliner in Intense black.
10.) I added 2 coats on mascara to both my too and bottom lashes using Smashbox X Rated Mascara in black.
I went ahead and curled my hair with a 1 3/4 barreled curling iron and braiding one side and pinning it with Bobby pins!
