Highend Vs. Drug Store Showdown: Pore Minimizers

Welcome to the second edition of Highend VS. Drugstore showdown!
In the left corner, weighing in at 20 ml/ .67 fl. oz., we have Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser!!!

AAAAANNNNNDDDD in the right corner weighing in at 22 ml/ .75 fl. oz., we have Benefit The Porefessional PRO Balm!!!

Alright, so lets just jump right into this showdown, shall we?!

Lets start with the highend product: Benefit The Porefessional PRO Balm

This product can be used under makeup, over makeup or alone.

This product is oil-free and very lightweight. It does come out as a light beige color but it goes on translucent when applied. It has a silky texture! Very nice! AND it smells good! (YAASS)

I honestly dont have very large pores but i do apply this product over my primer around my T-zone, mostly the nose and outward towards the cheeks. I did notice my makeup go on smooth and my pores did appear to have minimized from what i could see. The good thing about this product is that you only need a mini pea-sized amount.

This product is sold for $31 at Sephora, Ulta, Macys, Amazon (might be more pricey) and the Benefit Cosmetics store online.

If you don’t wanna make the full committment OR don’t have $31 to dish out, you can also purchase the Mini Version from Ulta Beuty for $10!

We have the  Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser.

This product can be used under makeup or alone.

This product is clear and has a gel-like texture. A little goes a long way! mini-mini pea sized amount needed! It does what it says, it shows the apperance of minimizing pores and my makeup goes on smoothly. It doesn’t have a pretty smell, but it isn’t bad at all!

The only thing i don’t like is that this product is not Oil-free, and i have very oily skin, so i have to make sure not to appl too much or ill turn into a Slip-N-Slide. Not cute.

It has the inexpensive price of $5.99! NOT BAD AT ALL!

You can buy this product at any store that sells Maybelline! ( Target, Walmart,  Walgreen’s (more pricey!) and etc.)

WINNER: Benefit Porefessional PRO Balm

Here is why:

  • It can be reapplied over your makeup, unlike the Baby Skin
  • It smells good!
  • Oil-free

Both products are fantastic though! in all honesty, both get the job done! It just depends on whether you want to spend $6 or $31.

Hope you all enjoyed this post! Give it a like and feel free to leave any comments!

Have a good one!
